The Young Missionary Movement of Uromi Diocese recently enrolled new members from St Matthias Parish, Ewohimi, into their fold. The event took place on October 9, 2016, in a Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr Jude Otaigbe, the Parish Priest, in the presence of the Diocesan Enrollment Council and the Diocesan Co-ordinator – Rev. Sr Angela. Twenty members of Ewohimi parish were enrolled, and Fr Otaigbe charged them to take up the responsibility of mission that the Lord has called them to and made them realize that the future of the church and Uromi diocese lies in their hands, and so to ensure that the Church does not die in their hand, but must make sure to carry out the work of missionaries so that the faith may be successfully passed on to generations after them.
The members arrived the venue three days earlier to begin an orientation programme which included series of lectures, particularly on Mission and the work of a Missionary delivered by Bro Sylvester, who happens to be the
Vice President II of YOMM – Uromi Diocese and on Leadership delivered by Rev. Sr Angela; cleaning of the church and its surroundings, games, prayers, quiz competition and daily participation at Mass.
