July 30, 2016, will always remain a solemn day to remember in the minds of parishioners of St Patrick – Ebhoiyi and St Patrick – Urohi respectively as they gathered in their large numbers to pray at the St Anthony Cathedral, Uromi, as part of scheduled parish pilgrimage to the Holy Door of Mercy.
The celebration began with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with the prayer of the Rosary and confession. Shortly after the prayers, a talk was given by the Priest in charge of St Patrick, Urohi – Rev. Fr Daniel Ifada. The theme of the talk was, ” God’s Mercy Available to All”. Fr Ifada extolled on the qualities of God, among which is His infinite and unconditional mercy.
A high point of the event was the anticipated solemn procession through the Holy Door of Mercy in prayerful mood. The Holy Mass began immediately afterwards.
