A new Mass Centre -St Joseph Catholic Church, Okaigben – Ewohimi has been carved out of St Matthias Church, Ewohimi. The opening ceremony was carried out on January 15, 2017, by His Lordship, Most Rev. Donatus Ogun in a Mass at the Mass Centre. On ground for presentation to the people was the Priest in charge, Rev. Fr Churchill Odekhia, who is now the Pastor of the church.
In their response, the parishioners of St Joseph assured the Bishop and the entire diocese of their maximum co-operation to see to the support to the priest and work to the rapid development of the Mass Centre.
In a similar vein, His Lordship, Most Rev. Donatus Ogun, on January 28, 2017, was in St Peter Catholic Church, Ewossa, formerly an outstation of Christ the King Parish, Ebelle, to elevate it to a Status of a Mass – Centre, with the appointment and presentation of Rev. Fr Christopher Ehidiamen, to the people as the Priest in charge. The event was done in a Mass in which His Lordship presided.
His Lordship thanked the people of Okaigben and Ewossa, both home and in the diaspora, for their zeal and commitment shown visibly in the contributions to providing comfortable rectories for their priests.
