Lumen Christi Bags Two Awards

Following her consistent track records of academic excellence in both internal and external examinations over the years, Lumen Christi International High School, Uromi, has again won for herself two awards of academic excellence: State and National awards (in WAEC examinations)  from the ‘Edo Women Development Initiative’ (EWDI) and ‘Culbeat Foundation’ in July and August 2016 respectively.

The state award sponsored by EWDI was received during their 3rd Edo Women’s Conference held at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre in Benin City, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Osagie Ehanire ably represented by Hon. Justice Ikponhonba.

Indeed, it was another great honour as Lumen Christi received the  National Award under the auspices of ‘Reward Nigeria Awards’, sponsored by Culbeat Foundation, for the third time as a result of her outstanding brilliant academic performance in the 2015 WAEC examination. The award which took the form of “Donation of Books to the school Library and a Cash Prize”, was held in Lagos during the ‘Reward Nigeria Award/Gala Night’, having the presence of Hon. Jimi Agbaje as the Chairperson and Mr. Sola Adeduntan (M.D., First Bank) as keynote speaker, who spoke extensively at the occasion.

The ceremony which was geared towards recognition and appreciation of top outstanding graduating students from the first five (5) Nigerian Universities and Post Primary Institutions across the country had in attendance the presence of graduating students, Heads of Schools, among other dignitaries across the globe.
