On the occasion of his Pastoral Visit to St. Camillus Hospital and School of Midwifery, Uromi on Thursday, 30th May 2019, the Bishop of Uromi Diocese, his Lordship, Most Rev. Donatus Ogun laid the foundation stone of a New Ultramodern Building for the Hospital. It is interesting to note that this foundation stone laying ceremony took place on the same day the Hospital was formally opened 71years ago. The Hospital was opened on the 30th of May 1948.
St. Camillus Hospital has grown over the years. From its establishment during the Episcopacy of Most. Rev. Patrick Joseph Kelly, Bishop of Benin City Diocese, it has always received adequate attention from the Hierarchy of the Church. This foundation stone laying for a new Ultramodern Building for the Hospital is a milestone.
We pray God to provide the Diocese with the much needed resources to see to the completion of this noble project.
May God bless the Bishop of Uromi Diocese. May God bless the Administrator of the Hospital, Rev. Fr. Dr. Julius Ekoh, the Management and Staff of the Hospital.
