Fr. Patrick Ehizokhale was full of thanks and praises to God almighty as he clocked 25years in the Lord’s vineyard, making him a Silver Jubilarian. The Mass of thanksgiving to mark the occasion was celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Ubiaja, on 17th September, 2016. The celebration also served as an occasion for the celebrant to launch his book titled THE POPES AND THE ROSARY
The Bishop, who was out of the country on official assignment was ably represented by the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr Francis Omonlumen. Priests of Uromi diocese and other dioceses of the federation were in attendance as well as faithful from within and outside of Ubiaja parish.
In his homily, Rev. Fr Dr JohnBosco Ezehi appreciated God for the life of the celebrant, whom he described as a dedicated, courageous and humble priest who has a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. And enjoined all to give him their support in order to make his anniversary a success, especially when it is a fact that it is not an easy thing to clock 25 in any endeavour in life, particularly the Catholic Priesthood that is fraught with many tedious challenges.
After the mass, guests were treated to a reception and entertained by many dance groups while gifts were also presented to the celebrant who thanked God for sparing him and leading him all these years and thanked all present for coming to celebrate with him.
