It was on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at about 5pm, when the Priests and parishioners of St. Patrick Parish, ebhoiyi thronged out in joyful celebration to receive the statue of Our Lady of Fatima from the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Idigun, led by Rev. Frs. Osi Odenore and Greg Abuya.

The celebration, as part of the activities to mark the centenary celebration of the Marian year in the diocese of Uromi came on point following plans to increase devotion to Mary by carrying out parish to parish visitation with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima.

To the glory of God, and honour to her cause, the status of Our Lady stayed in the parish for about a week, while activities to mark the Marian visitation were confessions, talks, Holy Mass and daily recitation of the Rosary and adoration of the blessed sacrament. Indeed, the period was retreat for the parish that ushered in great spiritual renewal and energy to the parish as parishioners thronged to the church for the daily activities.

At the end of the period, the priests and parishioners, on July 17, transferred the statue of Our lady to St. Raymond, Uwalor, where it would remain for the next week.
