ST. THERESA CATHOLIC CHURCH, UKONI, BUILDS SECURITY HOUSE

In response to two unfortunate incidents of vehicle theft, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ukoni, has successfully completed the construction of a Security House to ensure better protection of parishioners and visitors’ property.

The first incident occurred on December 1, 2024, when a Toyota Camry belonging to a visitor from JDPC was stolen. The second theft took place in April 2025 during the Adult Harvest celebration, when another Toyota Camry was stolen. Despite all efforts to recover the stolen vehicles, none have been successful.

Moved by these events and united in faith, Rev. Fr. Fidelis Ahredo, along with the entire parish community, took decisive action to enhance security. Special appreciation goes to dedicated parishioners Mr. Anslem Usigbe, Mr. Eimianah, Mr. Ehimhanre, and others who contributed selflessly to the successful erection of the security building. Their unwavering commitment and generous support are deeply appreciated.

This is to also reawaken our security consciousness in our various parishes and specific jurisdictions, and put every necessary measure in place to forestall such occurrence.

Rev. Fr. Fidelis Ahredo officially blessed and opened the newly completed Security House, offering prayers for its protection and purpose.

We pray that God, in His infinite goodness, blesses all who supported this project abundantly in all their endeavors, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
